Description
Let's head to Chapel Hill, the home of Lavender Oaks Farm. We will begin our tour with a presentation on growing lavender and their 60 acre farm. Highlights include how they restored 3 century old timber frame barns, prepared the NC clay soil to grow 9 varieties of lavender, tips on growing lavender in NC, and how they sold everything they owned to build their dream lavender farm! Next, lunch is served buffet style in the main barn that is temperature controlled for year-round comfort. Depending on growing season, you'll be able to cut your own bundle of lavender (25 sprigs). Before heading home, enjoy some shopping in the Lavender Boutique! The cost of this trip includes bus transportation, tour, lunch and lavender.
