About this event
Learn how to use a pottery wheel to throw functional artwork, such as vases, mugs, bowls, and plates! Demonstrations will cover wedging, centering, throwing, trimming, decorating, and glazing techniques. Students will also learn about the kiln firing process. This class is perfect for beginners and those who need a refresher if they haven’t thrown in quite some time. *There will be no class on May 25th. Supply Notes: This class includes unlimited independent studio time, 25 pounds of clay, all firing, slips and glazing supplies. New students will need to purchase a basic wheel throwing kit for $25, available at the first class session or in the online shop.
