About this event

Whether you're new to clay, or just looking for a relaxing creative outlet, join instructor Daria White Paik and learn all the basic handbuilding techniques; pinching, coiling, and slab construction. Students will use these techniques to create basic forms like vessels, boxes, sculptures, and more! All skill levels are welcome and no experience is necessary. There will be no class on July 4th or July 18th. Please note: To accommodate the instructor's availability, this class will begin 1 week earlier than the rest of Summer Term classes. Summer Term Independent Studio hours will not be begin until the normal start date of June 29 and end date of September 8. Supply Notes This class includes unlimited independent studio time, 25 pounds of clay, all firing, slips and glazing supplies. Students must supply their own clay tools. If you are a new student, on the first day of class, your instructor will discuss with you the best kit for your needs and interests, which you may then purchase at the Front Desk. Clay tool kits are $25/each
