Here are a few things to consider when thinking about each of these variables.

How Often Will You Use It?

This is the first and most important question to ask when considering RV renting vs. buying.

When it comes to purchasing, you want to be sure you'll use it enough to justify the price. For some this may be a non-issue, for others it's an important consideration to make.

Another aspect to consider is whether you live in a place where the seasons dictate your outdoor adventures. If you deal with many months of snow, you likely won't be getting optimal use out of it.

  • Rent: If you are taking a single trip or if you live in an area where seasons dictate your camping schedule.
  • Buy: If you're driving cross-country or live in a region where you can camp most months of the year.
