FD3 Triathlon Series
Tierra Verde, Florida - Various dates beginning in May 1 of 10
Participate in one or all three of the triathlons in this series. The first triathlon in the series will be held May 18, followed by races August 24 and September 28. Triathletes in all of the races will swim in the Gulf of Mexico, bike through Fort DeSoto Park and finish up with a run along hard packed beach sand and a paved path.
Xterra Four Corners Off Road Triathlon
Farmington, New Mexico - June 1, 2013 2 of 10
This race is worthy of a road trip. The 2013 Xterra Four Corners Tri course begins with a 1-mile swim at Farmington Lake, followed by a 17-mile mountain bike course and a challenging 5-mile run. After the race, be sure to check the amazing high-desert landscape and visit the Ancient Puebloan ruins of Mesa Verde and Chaco Canyon as well as the natural wonder of Shiprock, which is just a 30-minute drive from town.
Race the Bridge Challenge
Jeffersonville, Indiana - June 2, 2013 and Nashville, Tennessee - June 16, 2013 3 of 10
Two great races are folded into one registration. Begin by battling in southern Indiana on the waterfront of the Ohio River. For the second race, swim in the Cumberland River in the middle of the city, bike around LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans, and run through downtown and on the famous Broadway strip to the Music City Walk of Fame Park.

This race is flat and fast. But at altitude and surrounded by stellar athletes, this is one challenging race. Triathletes begin with a potentially chilly swim in Boulder Reservoir, followed by a fast bike course and a run along mostly dirt roads. After the race, check out El Dorado Canyon, the iconic Boulder Flatirons or head into town where you'll find a casual atmosphere and lots of good food.
2013 Chicago Triathlon

Come for the triathlon, stay for the hot dogs. Or the museums, the bars, the restaurants, the shopping, professional baseball, the lake. Did we mention, the food? The 31st running of the Chicago Triathlon kicks off Friday with an expo where athletes must pick up their race packets, leaving plenty of time to check out the city. The weekend includes six races in all, including a kids, supersprint, sprint, pro and international-distance triathlons.
Virginia Beach, Virginia - September 15, 2013 6 of 10
The Sandman Triathlon, held on the Virginia Beach oceanfront, is just one of the many events leading up to Virginia Beach Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend. Racers will begin with a 750-meter ocean swim, followed by a 13-mile bike on a flat and fast course and then a 5K run on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. After the race, head to the after-party on the beach.

The setting for this race couldn't be better. For one, it's in Mexico. Then there's the beach and the crystal-clear water. The Reefs of Cozumel National Park will host the swim course. After the race, make sure to go back and check out these world famous coral reefs.
Herbalife Triathlon Los Angeles

The race begins at iconic Venice Beach and ends at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. Along the way, triathletes swim in the Pacific, ride through Koreatown and run through downtown, where they'll pass skyscrapers and the Disney Concert Hall.
Miami Man Triathlon

Swim in a crystal clear lake, bike through farmlands and run through the Miami Zoo. After the race, soak up some rays on the beach, check out the city's museums, parks and performing arts centers or visit its mix of neighborhoods, including South Beach.
