1. Onboard Safety Equipment
First things first: Complete a thorough check and inventory of your onboard safety equipment, taking specific care with dated items that require annual inspections or replacement:
- First aid kits
- Fire extinguishers
- Flares
- Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) and any other emergency beacons
