The flat and festive course of the fifth annual Louisiana Marathon offers the perfect setting for a 26.2 PR while enjoying live local bands and plenty of cheering fans. Starting in downtown Baton Rouge, this Boston Qualifier travels along University Lakes and across the Louisiana State University campus, before finishing back downtown near the State Capitol. Want to experience déjà vu? Run the quarter marathon or 5K on Saturday, and then the marathon or half marathon on Sunday to receive a Louisiana Marathon Crawfish Tray, perfect for that post-race seafood feast.

Taking place in the South Carolina capital city, the Columbia Marathon follows a two-lap loop through the downtown area, along the edge of Lake Katharine and finishing at the State House. Upon completion, not only can you cross an item off your bucket list, but you can also feel good about your participation. This race helps provide scholarships to the "Run Hard" running program that focuses on helping second through eighth grade students work toward their personal goals.

Starting and ending on the historic State Fair of Texas fairgrounds, the Big D Texas Marathon proves that everything is bigger (and better) in Texas. Runners will pass Dallas notables, including State Fair Circle, White Rock Lake and the Santa Fe Trail. With only one true hill on the course and average temperatures in the 60s, this race provides a perfect opportunity to qualify for the Boston Marathon and achieve a new 26.2 PR at the same time. Past runners have called this race "the most beautiful course ever" and describe it "like running through a dream." We can see why, given the rolling course along the lush banks of the New River and the views of North Carolina farmland, serene country roads and galloping horses. On race eve, a pasta dinner is put on by the Todd Community Preservation Organization that serves as a packet pick-up and pre-race fueling stop on your way to an unforgettable event.
