Run for a Cause
Team to End AIDS

The Team to End AIDS endurance program trains athletes to complete a half marathon, marathon or triathlon. T2 members raise money to fight the AIDS epidemic, and participate in road and trail races.

This nonprofit focuses on aid for wounded warriors, but also supports local charities in the Northern Virginia area. Beyond minimal expenses, all remaining funds raised go to charitable causes. Entries for the Marine Corps Marathon may be available.
Back on My Feet

Back on My Feet creates independence and self-sufficiency within the homeless by engaging them in running as a means to build strength and self-esteem. Ten chapters (including a soon-to-be launched chapter in Austin, Texas) thrive across the country.
Cellmates On the Run

Dedicated to fighting diabetes, Cellmates on the Run specifically supports the Chicago Diabetes Project, whose goal is to find a cure for the disease. In 2009, Cellmates became an official charity of both the Chicago and New York City marathons; there may be entries available for these races.
Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Team Challenge

Team Challenge is the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation's endurance training and fundraising program. Join the team for the Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas half marathon and marathon in December for your chance to run on the world-famous Las Vegas strip at night.
Chicago Police Dept. Memorial Foundation

Join Team CPD in raising funds for police officers killed and critically injured in the line of duty by participating in the Bank Of America Chicago Marathon.
Girls On the Run

More than 75 percent of Girls on the Run participants request scholarship funding to be able to participate in our program; funds raised by SoleMates athletes help support this need. There may be spaces available for the Chicago Marathon this year.

Manhattan 8 of 17
SoleMates is the adult charity running program of Girls on the Run. Coach and Active Expert Jenny Hadfield created half marathon and marathon training programs for the team. Girls on the Run Manhattan is a charity partner of the ING New York City Marathon; entries may still be available.

Team IBD Kids runs the ING New York City Marathon to raise money and awareness for kids with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, two illnesses known as inflammatory bowel disease.
ING Run for Something Better

Through free school-based running fitness programs, ING Run For Something Better challenges children to get active. Adult charity runners become a member of the Orange Laces Nation. Spots for the ING New York City Marathon may still be available.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Team in Training has trained over half a million runners, walkers, triathletes and cyclists, and raised more than $1.2 billion to fund cancer research. Athletes can choose an online training option or an in-person program.
Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation

The MMRF Marathon and Half Marathon Program secures your entry to select premiere races across the country and in Europe. All funds raised advance critical multiple myeloma research and the search for a cure. Entries for the ING New York City Marathon may still be available.
National Hospice Foundation

Run to Remember features what is uniquely important about hospice care and connects it to training for a race. Completing a race offers participants an incredible opportunity to honor and celebrate loved ones.
Opportunity Enterprises Runners

Opportunity Enterprises provides support services to more than 1,000 children and adults with developmental, emotional or physical disabilities in Northwest Indiana. Entries for the Chicago Marathon may still be available.
Semper Fi Fund

Team Semper Fi is made up of service men and women who have overcome significant challenges in their service to our country. Team members receive training from current and former Olympic and Paralymic athletes. Entries for the Marine Corps Marathon may be available.
Team Fisher House

Team Fisher House was born when two military wives chose training for a marathon as a way to cope with separation anxiety. Raise funds and receive training support for the Marine Corps Marathon, and other races throughout the year.
