'Twas a few weeks before Christmas and runners put on their gear, to run a wintertime race and spread some holiday cheer. They ran, they shuffled, they did the Jingle Bell Rock, they gathered in various locations—at all times on the clock. Here are nine chances for you to join in on the fun, and celebrate the season at a jingle bell run.
Uncle Ebb's Bah Humbug Trail Race

Race "Uncle Ebb" (Scrooge) to the finish line at this family-friendly holiday trail run. You can race Uncle Ebb across two different distances: the Scrooge Scramble 1 Mile or Bah Humbug Buster 7K. There will be holiday music, prizes and awards for both races.
Celebrate the gift of giving at this race where participants donate a new, unwrapped toy for underprivileged children. This fast, flat half marathon is great for veteran or novice runners. Bring the kids for the Jingle All the Way fun run, and celebrate the season at the finish-line festival at the Marine Empo?rium Land?ing in the Chan?nel Islands Harbor.
Run the half marathon, the 2.62-mile race, or challenge yourself and do both events on the coastline from Gloucester to Rockport. Participants will receive a technical race shirt and finisher's medal, and can enjoy music, a raffle and refreshments.
Thousands of Santas will hit the streets in the Santa Hustle Race Series. Racers will receive a Santa hat, beard and customized Santa shirt. Listen to live music as you run, and enjoy post-race cookies and Christmas treats.

Proceeds from the race benefit the Tellepsen Family Downtown YMCA's Annual Campaign, which provides scholarships for YMCA programs.
