Description
This year the City of Roseville is offering a native plant sale for residents! Native plant kits and seed mixes will be available to purchase at wholesale prices from MNL, a widely trusted grower in Minnesota. Pre-order and pay online and pick up at the Roseville Maintenance Garage, 1140 Woodhill Drive, Roseville, on Saturday, May 31 between 8am and 12pm.Plant kits and seed mixes include instructions and tips for success, so you don't need previous gardening experience to start a native plant garden! Plant kits include 36 plants of 6 different species. Seed mixes cover 100 square feet, except for the Bee Lawn mix, which covers 1,000 square feet. If you need to arrange an alternate pick-up time, please contact noelle.bakken@cityofroseville.com before May 31. If you do not pick up your plants during the pick-up window or schedule an alternate pick-up time before May 31, your plants will be forfeited.
Part Shade Garden Kit: If you're looking to create beautiful, native habitat that can thrive in areas with some shade, filtered sunlight, or limited hours of direct sunlight, this kit has you covered. Expect blossoms early in the year with more arriving as summer and fall roll around. The Part Shade Garden Kit will provide an ideal environment for many varieties of insects and pollinators. Don't be surprised if you see a hummingbird or two! Consider planting under mature trees, on the north facing side of taller buildings, and anywhere else with limited direct sunlight or a combination of sun and shade.
