It’s that time of year again! Lakers Sports & Social Annual 10K Charity Run is back!
19th September 2026– Pop it in your calendar!
This beautiful trail run will take you around the stunning Avondale Forest Park, and will culminate in a Prize Giving Post-Race, with refreshments.
Registration is €35
Start at 12pm sharp with registration from 11am to allow for Avondales Parkrun to finish and Lakers Sports & Social to set up.

We appreciate your patience with us this year as we made the last-minute change to Avondale.
Information Sheet
Time: Registration will begin at 11am with the Run starting at 12pm.
Parking: Parking is available at Avondale. When you get to the gates quote ‘Lakers’ to the attendant or into the intercom and you’ll be let in.
Registration: Registration will take place from 11am.
Volunteers will direct you from the Car Parks to the Orientation room (Old Avondale
Reception) where Registration will take place. See marked on Map on page 2.
To get to the start line, volunteers will direct you through the Pavilion.
Route: The route is a 5K loop that will be done twice. It is the same route as the Parkrun do each Saturday.
The route will be marshalled, these volunteers will direct you along the route changes.

Prizegiving: There will be complimentary refreshments and awards after the run.
You are of course more than welcome to head inside to the café or restaurant
either at your own cost.
Tea & Coffee: Teas and coffees will be available after the run as part of the refreshments, specialties teas and coffees are available in the Avondale Park café’s at your own cost.
Water Station: The water station will be based by the start line, you will pass this a number of times as you complete the route.
Feel free to bring your own refillable bottle. Volunteers will be happy to fill it for you

We will follow the Parkrun route as above, this is 5 K loop we will run twice. The route includes the white ‘Multi access Route’ and part of the dark Orange ‘Cairn Walk’.
