Dive into a family art experience inspired by the vibrant energy of Psychedelic Rock Posters and Fashion of the 1960s! Join teaching artist and designer Julz Clementine for an interactive journey where color, pattern, and creativity collide. We’ll kick things off with a trip to the exhibition Psychedelic Rock Posters, sparking your family’s imagination with a collaborative brainstorming session. Together, we’ll dream up an imaginary band that captures your family’s unique personality. Using Mad Lib-inspired prompts, you’ll transform personal symbols and cherished family memories into bold design elements. From there, you’ll explore the art of combining text and imagery to create a one-of-a-kind poster that radiates your family’s groove. This workshop is all about celebrating creativity, connection, and the joy of making something meaningful together. Whether you’re a fan of rock ‘n’ roll or just love bold colors and playful design, this is your chance to create something unforgettable. Come ready to cut, paste, and rock your way to a psychedelic family masterpiece! Family groups must have at least one adult participant, and up to four children (ages 7 or older) per group.
