About this event
Welcome all adventurers! Come take a journey with us as we explore several different countries all across the globe. Before we begin our travels, we will start the day with some exploration preparation. Students will decorate bags, complete team-building exercises, and make some nutritional treats. This isn’t just any adventure after all, it’s a friendly competition! In the afternoon, everyone will split into teams and complete a series of small challenges in four different countries. In each leg of the race there will be opportunities to learn about new traditions and cultures that are woven into each challenge. As each team reaches the final destination, everyone will enjoy some prizes to celebrate working together and good sportsmanship. Let’s embark on a trek around the world! Programs run from 9:00am - 3:00pm, with drop-off available between 8:00 - 9:00am and prompt pick-up between 3:00 - 4:00pm. Drop-off & pick-up will take place at the front desk of the Lombard campus. There is a scheduled snack break and lunch time for all students. Each student must bring a packed lunch (with a drink) from home. Everyone must wear appropriate shoes for play and time outside (no slippers, crocs, or stuffies please).
