When I make a salad, there's no rhyme or reason to what I'm throwing in the bowl. That means, occasionally, I'll toss together two clashing flavors that totally wreck the overall taste of my greens. (Pro tip: just say no to sweet potatoes and Caesar dressing. Ick.) There are about a million different potential salad combinations out there—wouldn't it just be easier if you had a visual that told you what goes?

Here's a remedy to the rescue. HuffPost Taste consulted The Flavor Bible to create a breakdown of 16 beloved toppings. Avocado, shrimp, feta, chicken, egg, salmon, the list goes on.
