2 hours discussing materials & techniques through a demo. 4 hours of individual painting with critiques Students will execute a multi-day plein air painting with techniques used by the Hudson River School painters. Open to all skill levels, the goal of this workshop is to teach a traditional approach to landscape painting. We will cover the fundamentals of composition, and we will go over strategies on using color and value to create an atmospheric painting on site. There will be a special emphasis on drawing and indirect painting.
