UMKC Flute Day is an event geared toward high school and college flutists who want to learn, grow and be inspired! Join our guest artist Emily Duncan (Flutist and producer), Dr. Terri Sánchez (UMKC Flute Professor) and flutists from the Kansas City area for a day of workshops, masterclasses and performances!

This event is open to High School and College (with advanced middle schoolers welcome). All minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian while on campus.
Event Schedule:

• 8:45am - Check-in (2nd floor Lobby)
• 9:15am - Group Warm-up with Dr. Terri Sánchez
• 10:00am - Emily Duncan Workshop “Beyond the Orchestra: Crafting your own career path”
• 11:00am - UMKC Flute Studio in Recital
• 12:00pm - Lunch (provided – pizza)
• 1:00pm - Emily Duncan Masterclass 2:30pm - Tone Workshop w/ Dr. Sánchez
• 3:30pm - Emily Duncan Guest Artist Recital
