Course Description: BBAR’s Holster Certification Program is a requirement for anyone who wishes to use a holster in our range. This program is also a prerequisite for any of the practical firearms training we offer involving handguns. * Holster certifications provided by other ranges\organizations are not recognized. Course Information: Students may use their own approved semi-automatic firearms or rental firearms provided by the range. Electronic ear protection, eye protection and closed toe footwear are required. Given the danger of contact burns from hot brass low cut tops are not recommended to be worn while on the range. Students are required to bring: - a holster, - a gun belt, - a magazine pouch, - 3 magazines, - 100 rounds of ammunition, - eye and ear protection (can be provided), - a notebook and a pen (recommended). All holsters must meet the following criteria: - Constructed of a rigid material, and designed to accommodate the model of firearm being used - Completely cover trigger guard - Have one form of mechanical retention - May not have finger activated releases (ie: SERPA or FOBUS) - Shoulder, cross draw and appendix holsters are NOT permitted.
