The 10 Fittest U.S. Cities in 2017

Your city may be famous for a number of reasons. Perhaps it boasts the longest boardwalk in the world (Atlantic City, NJ), the oldest pizza restaurant (New York, NY) or even the most roller coasters (Valencia, CA). But if you rate your city on its health and fitness, how does it stack up?

The American College of Sports Medicine recently released its 2017 American Fitness Index Report, which ranked the top 50 metropolitan areas in the United States from fittest to least fit. For the purpose of the study, ACSM used metropolitan areas rather than cities and ranked these areas based on various personal and community health indicators.
