DATES: May 5, 12, 19, Jun 2 (Skip May 26) Instructor: Emma Redmond Class Description: In Pictorial Weaving students will learn techniques to create shapes and imagery using a pre-dressed table loom. Students can explore their designs with different techniques. Students will experiment with drafting and designing weaving cartoons (template guide for a composition). Utilizing color work and a variety of interlocking techniques students will create one of a kind woven art. A basic knowledge of tapestry weaving is required for this class. -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. 4 Week students have access to Open Studio time for free during the class weeks and for up to a week after the class to put their new knowledge to practice.
