For the first time ever, LAVA Magazine is offering readers the chance to appear on the cover and share their triathlon story with the world. LAVA is looking for an athlete with the most inspiring triathlon journey to appear on the April 2016 issue.
In order to compete in the LAVA cover contest, athletes must apply at Lavamagazine.com before September 25, 2015. Only athletes who competed in a triathlon during the 2015 calendar year will be considered.
"We make LAVA for serious triathletes and we're happy to give one of those athletes the chance to appear on our cover and share their inspirational story with triathletes all over the world," said Editor-in-Chief Brad Culp. "This will be the first time we've had a non-professional athlete as the focus of a cover story. While we're dedicated to elevating the status of pro triathletes, we know it's the age-group athlete that makes triathlon such an amazing sport and we look forward to showcasing one lucky age grouper next April."

LAVA editors will review all submissions and select the semifinalists by September 30. The winner will be selected no later than November 30. The winner must be able to travel to San Diego for a photo shoot between January 4 and January 29, 2016.
