How to Plan a Camping Honeymoon

...But Don't Dismiss Comfort

Remember, it's still your honeymoon. While less is often more when packing for a camping trip, you can still cater to comfort. For example:

  • Bring blankets for the tent and a few extras to lie on or cover up with when stargazing.
  • Don't skimp on food; cooking together over the fire is an experience you can't replicate in your kitchen.

Plan for Evening Entertainment

When you camp with friends, there's never a shortage of campfire chatter. An evening with just you and your significant other is a usually little quieter. While relaxing quietly around the fire is nice, bring nighttime entertainment in case you get tired of the same old evening routine. Card games and dominoes take up minimal space and provide hours of entertainment.

Don't be Afraid to Make Friends

Nights around the campfire with new friends are some of the most memorable. Don't hesitate to say hey to your neighbors and invite them over for a drink or a s'more.

Keep a Journal

At the end of each day, write a journal entry together detailing where you are and what you did that day. It's easy to forget things when every day is packed with new adventures. Print photos when you get home and put them with each appropriate entry to add some life to your honeymoon camping journal.
