1. Prepare your mind.

Set your goal and stick with it. Determine what you need to achieve it. Do not think about failure as an option. Have a mantra for your weak moments, as well as family and friends to keep you accountable and encourage you along the way.

2. Focus on nutrients, not calories.

Eat foods that will improve your health, not just empty calories. Choose foods that contain protein and fiber.
