20-Minute Sand Workout

With the summer months upon us, it's time to take advantage of the nearby beaches.

Lounging in the sand with a comfortable chair and a good book is a great way to relax and enjoy the beach, but that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about a heart-pounding, fat-burning sand workout. All you need is one piece of portable fitness equipment, 30 minutes of your time and the mindset to work hard.

Workout Circuit

1. Kettlebell/Dumbbell Swings - 20 reps
2. Bear Crawls - 20 yards
3. Sprints - 40 yards (20 yards there, 20 yards back)
4. Kettlebell/Dumbbell Carry - 40 yards (20 yards there, 20 yards back)

Perform each of the four exercises in a circuit, one set at a time. Once you complete all four exercises, rest for 60 to 90 seconds, depending on how much time you have and your fitness level.

It's recommended to spend 20 to 30 minutes doing the workout. This will keep your heart rate elevated, help with caloric burn, and keep your session effective and efficient. Perform this routine once a week, and record how many rounds you complete so you can track your progress.

Note: For details on each exercise, view Page 2.
