About This Activity
Description
House league soccer is a Glen Ellyn Park District program run with the assistance of Glen Ellyn Youth Soccer Organization (GEYSO). The program teaches soccer skills while promoting good sportsmanship, physical conditioning and having fun. There are nine age levels for boys and girls. The program relies solely on volunteer parents to coach and coordinate teams.
This recreational/instructional league teaches soccer skills while promoting sportsmanship, physical conditioning, and fun. Teams will be organized as much as possible by geographic area/school.
Practices start the week of April 1 and are held once a week according to the volunteer coach’s schedule. Games are played at Ackerman Park between 8am and 3pm on Saturdays. Adults/caregivers will be notified of their child’s team placement between March 15-21; email daddanki@gepark.org if you have not heard from a coach by March 21.
Please indicate if you are interested in volunteering as a coach when registering your child. Volunteers will be contacted with more information as needed and must attend a mandatory meeting on March 13 at Spring Avenue Recreation Center.
Participants are permitted to make one buddy request. To guarantee the buddy request, both children must be listed as each other’s buddy. If a request is not mutual between two participants or if multiple names are listed, it is not guaranteed that they will be placed on the same team.
