About This Activity
Explore a variety of coding and digital design platforms to build your knowledge and grow your skillset! If you’re excited about the idea of programming-based innovations, then you’ll want to join your fellow coders for a week of creative coding projects! Creative Coders does not focus on a specific coding language; instead, we use several coding platforms so you’ll get exposure to the vast world of code. All skill levels are welcome: no previous computer programming experience is necessary. Welcome to the Coder Crew! Join this camp if you want to learn or enhance your coding skills and create all sorts of fascinating projects. This program is intended for participants entering Grade 6 and 7 in September 2024. NOTE: The same themes at the same grade level will contain the same content across all weeks. For example, Maker 2/3 (Week 1) will contain the same material as Maker 2/3 (Week 7). Girls* thrive when they have a focused space to discover, explore, and cultivate their love for science and engineering. Geering Up’s annual All Girls* Week encourages girls* and inspires the next generation of women* scientists. All Girls* camps offer the same STEM activities as their co-ed counterparts. *We use the words “girls” and “women” with an asterisk (*) to intentionally include students and stakeholders who are underrepresented in STEM fields.
