Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR. follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar. Filled with outlandish characters, adventure galore and an upbeat score, Madagascar JR. will bring campers to their feet to “Move It, Move It!” AET’s Musical Theatre Junior Summer Camp provides children, pre-teens and teens interested in the performing arts the opportunity to explore their creativity and expand their imagination. The camp is focused on acting, music, and movement instruction. The camp inspires young people to find their creative side through performing arts education and exploration of theatre skills. Campers will learn theatre warm-ups and games, audition for roles, and learn about staging, choreography, and music with professional artists as their instructors. They will also get behind-the-scenes experience as they create costumes, props, and sets, and all will receive a role in the production and perform for family and friends. This camp is great for beginners but are also effective for those with theatre experience.
