About This Activity
Join us for a week-long summer camp designed to ignite the creative writing spark in 2nd through 5th-grade students! Each week, students will learn and practice the mechanics of creative writing including rules of grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and sentence structure. Students will then employ these mechanics to plan, draft, edit, revise, and finalize their creative stories. Using this groundwork, they will dive deep into their imaginations to embark on a creative journey. Mrs. Keairns will lead a vibrant and supportive environment where every young writer can explore their ideas, express themselves, and craft stories that come straight from their hearts. Through engaging activities, interactive workshops, and collaborative storytelling, each student will jump into the world of words and emerge with a complete narrative story by the end of the week.
