My name is Farzaneh Sajadi and I have been making things out of clay since 2005. I believes that working with clay helps students with their sensory development, motor skills, self-esteem, self-expression, problem solving skills and discipline. Clay also has a uniquely therapeutic quality that helps children to retain their attention for hours.In this class, children will play with clay to create beautiful works of art.?They explore a variety of hand-building methods (slab, coil, and pinch), explore texture, and glaze their pieces with bright non-toxic glazes. Projects may include masks, fantasy animals, self-portraits, planters, and more.Grades
