About This Activity
WHO: Designed for intermediate students who would like to prepare for more advanced classes, or students from Spanish language backgrounds who need to hone their native speaking ability. WHAT: This program will help students Improve their reading and writing, and spoken Spanish language skills by participating in daily structured exercises in Spanish. Read great poetry, plays and stories. Practice enunciation, review grammar and syntax. Read newspapers, listen to recorded works to improve comprehension and fluency in Spanish. An academic classroom-style program is planned, challenging students with graded exercises and two daily hours of instruction. Recognizing that a spoken language is a skill developed through the repetitive practice of good habits, the student will receive the greatest benefit from timely completion of assigned exercises and participation in all four weeks of the program. WHERE: Meets at the Heights WHEN: Meets five days per week M-F. 10:00 – 12:00 AM, Students may participate in the on-going Intermediate Spanish II course, Using the Curso Segundo Text book and will also participate in individual reading and discussion sessions. This will ensure basic structures are reviewed and daily oral and reading practice is accomplished.
