About This Activity
Get your hands into clay and exercise the right-hand side of your brain! Learn basic hand-sculpting techniques (coil, slab, negative and additive sculpture) to create 3-dimensional projects in clay that will be glazed and fired. "Hoppers" stations for free-choice time available this week, along with a pottery wheel experience. No previous experience required. Clay pick-up date will be later in the summer, exact date TBA (depends on the drying time and firing schedule). AM Camp 9am-12pm Artists will be grouped by grades: K-2nd, 3rd-5th and 6th-8th. Artists: please bring a light jacket, snack and water bottle.
