About This Activity
Description
Our Juniors Girls League lets youth in grades 3 and 4 who identify as female or non-binary take their skills to the next level and experience constructive competition. Players in this youth basketball league continue to build skills like dribbling, shooting, and passing and begin learning basketball plays through fun drills. We practice once per week and play games on the weekend, including home games and games against other Ys in the region. All teams are led by volunteer coaches. Family involvement, whether as a team volunteer, cheerleader, or coach, is a key to success. Each player gets a Y jersey top to wear on and off the court.
