About This Activity
Our 'MARHABA ALATFAL' ARABIC after-school workshop immerses children in the Italian language & culture through grammar & sentence structure, poetry, music, art projects, story time and class discussions while enabling them to make personal connections that maximize the overall learning experience. By contrasting and comparing, students gain new perspectives through worksheets, pictures, instructional videos, audio CD's, popular songs, games, and YouTube videos to provide a total immersion experience in the Italian language & culture. This language-based cultural approach to learning ensures students are grasping new language concepts as well as retaining old ones, leading to long term memory retention in the Arabic language. Students are grouped by age & level of language proficiency. The length of each session is 90min. This is an intensive immersion program comprising 1.5 hours each THURSDAY afternoon with varied enrichment activities broken down in 20 min intervals.
