**This experience is open to current 7th grade students who will be rising to the 8th grade in 2024-2025. It is a co-ed (boys and girls) program.** Jesuit Dallas will host an intensive workshop for emerging leaders in middle school. The workshop, entitled “Jesuit Leadership Summit: Rising to Excellence,” will take place on Monday, June 3 through Thursday, June 6, 2024. Sessions begin daily at 1:00PM and end at 3:30AM, except Thursday meets at 9:00am and ends at noon. Interested students must sign-up on a first-come, first-served basis as spots are limited. If the program hits capacity, there will be a waitlist available for interested students. The leadership workshop is directed by Head Basketball Coach Chris Hill and Assistant Principal Dr. Mark Knize of Jesuit Dallas. Coach Hill and Dr. Knize will guide students through adaptive leadership skills, ones that empower students on their school campuses and beyond. Key topics and activities include the following: guidance in leadership skills; and strategies; team building; conflict resolution; servant and Christian leadership; empathy, inclusion, and belonging; social leadership and media responsibilities; public speaking; reflection exercises; and interactive field trip. Interested students who sign up must agree to the following: (1) Attend all sessions during the time allotted (successful progress of participants is not conducive to partial attendance); (2) Participate and engage activities, small group discussions, and presentations; (3) Behave in a cooperative and non-distracting manner during all activities; (4) Treat all participants with respect, dignity, and inclusion
