About This Activity
This camp offers the ideal introduction to watercolor painting, with basic drawing lessons included as a special bonus. Students will kick off their artistic journey with a dive into color theory and playful experimentation with the medium. They'll then develop their ability to perceive the world through an artist's eyes, alongside other valuable tips for independent drawing. Bringing everything together, students will create finished pieces while exploring various watercolor techniques and painting processes, ultimately gaining confidence and acquiring a wealth of skills to continue painting on their own. Camp projects are specifically tailored to focus on watercolor and ink, allowing for deeper exploration and specialization in these mediums. Each student will receive a supply kit to use throughout the camp, ensuring they have everything they need to unleash their creativity. Prerequisite: While not mandatory, some drawing experience is beneficial for students participating in this camp.
