About This Activity
Trip Description: Take the afternoon to clean up a section of the New River in our own backyard. We will jump in a section of river near the high school and wade through the water while looking for trash. We will be on foot the whole time and carry out our trash in an effort to clean up a river in a heavily used section of the Greenway. This is a great opportunity to make an impact on our beautiful High Country environment. What to bring: - Clothes to wear in the water that can get dirty (as much non-cotton material as possible is suggested) - COMPLETELY CLOSED SHOES to wear in the water (old tennis shoes, water shoes, boots, etc) - SPORTS SANDALS ARE NOT ALLOWED as river shoes - Day bag - Towel - Change of clothes (including underwear and socks) - Change of shoes (these may be sandals/ open toed if you would like) - Water and snacks - Gloves (MA can provide)
