At ACTIVEkids.com, our mission is to get kids off the couch and engaged in an active, healthy lifestyle through sports, performing arts and academics. Unfortunately, not all families can afford to enroll their children in extracurricular activities.
That's why the ACTIVE Network partnered with nonprofit organization KIDS in the GAME to create the ACTIVEx Pass, a grant families can apply for to register their children for activities.
ACTIVE has worked with KIDS in the GAME since 2013, helping 4,418 children enroll in sports and activities over the last three years, including kids like Ethan (right), whose grandparent sent the following message to KIDS in the Game on Facebook.
"With your help, my grandson Ethan was able to play his first season of soccer! Thank you for making it possible!"
Grants are available in the cities where funds were raised, making the ACTIVEx Pass available both in Dallas and San Diego, home to the ACTIVE Network's two main offices.
Families can apply for grants of up to $50 at a time, four times a year, to keep their kids active year-round.

Each year, dozens of ACTIVE employees participate in the company's annual ACTIVEx Charity Challenge, a fundraising event that benefits KIDS in the GAME. Employees challenge themselves by training for and participating in a sprint triathlon or 5K, and each entrant must raise funds (or "fundrace") to compete.
The ACTIVEx Charity Challenge raises thousands of dollars to help underserved children get in the game.
This fall will mark the ninth installment of this annual event, where employees will come together once again to compete, raise funds and help get more kids active.
But you don't have to work for the ACTIVE Network to support this worthy cause. Anybody can support KIDS in the GAME in the form of a general donation, contributing to another one of their programs or specifically toward the ACTIVEx Pass.
As the ACTIVEx Charity Challenge motto goes, "Give. Get. Game On."
