Gonzaga Rugby, the five-time National Champion High School Rugby program, is sponsoring its annual summer camp for young and/or beginning rugby players between the ages of 11 and 15. The “Purple Eagle Rugby Camp” is a four-day camp (Monday - Thursday) designed to develop young players with some experience and safely introduce players with no experience to one of the most exciting and enjoyable sports in the world. Participants will learn about the game, its history, and the various positions that make up a Rugby football team. Nationally and internationally recognized coaches will conduct activities designed to teach specific physical skills and game situation sessions highlighting teamwork, physical fitness, and decision-making. Each day will feature games between players of similar ages and abilities and film sessions showing high school, professional club, and international matches. Cost includes daily prize competitions, camp tee-shirts, touch-and-tackle scrimmages, film sessions, demonstrations by experienced players, and more. Go Eagles!
