About This Activity
SYNOPSIS: The musical is based on the similarly titled Mary Poppins children's books by P. L. Travers and the 1964 Disney film, and is a fusion of various elements from the two, including songs from the film. AUDITIONS Material: Full Audition Packets will be posted on your Google Classroom. Students will sing a selection from the show and should be ready to perform sides at the audition. Bring your headshot and resume, and make sure your audition form has been submitted on your Google Classroom. Dates: Auditions will be on January 6th 10 AM-1 PM REHEARSALS Rehearsals will be every Thursday at 5:00-8:30 PM starting January 11th. There will be NO rehearsal on Thursday, March 14th (PISD Spring Break). Students are required to submit their conflicts ahead of time, and a maximum of 3 conflicts will be accepted. All tech week rehearsals and each performance is mandatory. SET BUILD Saturday, March 23rd, 10 am-3 pm. All students and one parent per actor are required to attend. TECH WEEK Monday, April 1st from 5:00-8:30 PM through Thursday, April 4th from 5:00-8:30 PM. All students are required to attend each day. PERFORMANCES FRIDAY: April 5th @ 7pm SATURDAY: April 6th @ 7pm SUNDAY: April 7th @ 3pm FRIDAY: April 12th @ 7pm SATURDAY: April 13th @ 2pm & 7pm SUNDAY: April 14th @ 3pm (Love Notes @ 12:30p) | Strike after the Sunday show ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Costumes are provided by Genesis. Supplemental items & black or brown shoes from your wardrobe. Students are required to have no more than 3 conflicts. If a student has excessive conflicts, they may not be able to participate in the production. Please send a snack, a personal water bottle, and pencil each day to rehear
