About This Activity
Learners will explore Newton’s Laws to design and launch a rocket, use code to navigate the Orion space capsule, and work as a team to build a survival base on the moon – meeting scientists along the way. Take on this lunar adventure with lessons aligned to NSTA standards and created in partnership with NASA and the Challenger Center. Let’s Go to the Moon! To accompany Minecraft Education’s Artemis Worlds—Rocket Build, Return to the Moon, and Moon Base (coming soon)—Challenger Center created a suite of extension lessons for students to expand upon what they learned in the Worlds. While our extension lessons primarily focus on engineering themes, they also integrate Earth and space science topics.
