DAY 1 - Travel with Wolf's for a fall retreat to Lake Morey, a lakeside resort nestled in the Vermont Hills above the Connecticut River to witness the beauty and explore the region during leaf season in New England. Following meal and rest stops enroute to Fairlee, Vermont, you check in at the Lake Morey Resort (802-333-4311) for a four-night stay. Guest room amenities include a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer and flat screen tv. The resort features an indoor heated pool, fitness facility, movie theatre, billiards room, card room and complimentary Wi-Fi and daily activities. Dinner tonight is included at the resort with the remainder of the evening to relax and unwind or enjoy the resort D

DAY 2 - Begin your day with breakfast included at the resort before you depart for a day of touring. Your first stop is Woodstock, VT for a photo stop at Quechee Gorge, also known as "Vermont's Little Grand Canyon". Have your cameras ready to capture the view, on a clear day, of the glacier-created gorge and falls from a scenic point. Next, you have a guided tour and bird program at Vermont Institute of Natural Science. The indoor/outdoor facility houses Vermont's magnificent live raptors which may at the time include owls, eagles, hawks and falcons. These avian predators were rescued from nature due to injuries and conditions that prevent them from ever living in the wild again. The permanent residents are featured in exhibits at the nature center and used in public educational presentations, serving as ambassadors for their species. Your admission today includes a birds of prey program featuring some of these ambassadors up close and personal. Afterwards, lunch is included enroute to see the Friesians of Majesty. The Friesians are large black horses with a size equivalent to a Belgian or Clydesdale. During your visit, you will meet their spectacular stallions, Othello & Gerhart, and have the opportunity to interact with their babies in the mare and foal barn. Then, you return to the resort where dinner is included with the rest of the night to enjoy the resort or relax in the comfort of your room. B, L, DDAY 3 - Wake to breakfast included at the resort before you board the motorcoach for a day of touring. First, you have admission included to visit the Rock of Ages Granite Quarry manufacturing plant and visitor center. Take a 30-minute shuttle tour to the world's largest, active granite quarry offering breathtaking views of a 100-year-old, 600 ft deep quarry. In addition, get a behind-the-scenes view of how the granite becomes a product. Then, you are off to Montpelier, the largest producer of maple syrup in the U.S., where you will stop for lunch on your own and at your expense. Afterwards, enjoy a sweet tour of the Morse Maple Farm complete with a local treat, Sugar on Snow. Morse Farm boasts 200 years and eight generations of providing that delicious syrup we like to our meals, learn about the process of tree to table maple sugaring. Now that you are sugared up, it is time to take you back to the resort. Enjoy an afternoon free to enjoy the Lake Morey Resort amenities. Dinner tonight is included at the resort with evening activities (TBA). B, DDAY 4 - Enjoy breakfast at the resort before you depart for some area attractions including a visit to a local cider mill near Burlington, VT for a tour and samples. Your next stop is to board a boat for a narrated lunch cruise on Lake Champlain. Relax and enjoy lunch with a view as you cruise on Lake Champlain. You may see any one of the 318 species of birds that live on, near or depend on the lake for survival. Below the water, there are over 90 species of fish and is considered one of the best bass fishing lakes in the Northeast. Although you will not see it all as the lake stretches 120 miles long and is 12 miles at its widest point, it is part of two states and one province - Vermont, New York and Quebec, Canada. Upon return to the dock, you will have free time to explore the Church Street Marketplace in the heart of downtown Burlington. This pedestrian-only section of town features about 80 stores, both local and nationally known. After time to browse the Marketplace, you return to the resort for dinner included on your last night's stay. Partake in the evening activities or just relax and reminisce about your fall retreat to glorious Vermont. B, L, DDAY 5 - Breakfast is included at the resort prior to check-out and bidding a fond farewell to Lake Morey Resort. There is, however, one more stop before you get too far down the road. No trip is complete to Vermont without a stop at the Vermont Country Store in Rockingham. Shop the barn filled with bargain items, explore the grist mill, water wheel and covered bridge before you go. You then depart for home with meal and rest stops at your expense as needed along the way. B
