About This Activity
Day camp is open to children going into kindergarten through sixth grade. Campers may choose to attend one or all of our spring and summer sessions. This fun and formative weekday experience is offered for two weeks. Camp days begin at 9 a.m. with check-in and opening ceremonies and conclude at 4 p.m. with parent pick-up or van transportation back to Rapid City. Day campers may take part in the total summer camp experience by choosing the overnight session option for $40. Day campers who choose this session option will not return home at the end of the camp day on Thursday. They will stay behind to enjoy supper in the dining hall, games on the lawn, and an evening devotion and campfire before heading to bed. They will sleep in a cabin under counselor supervision, wake up to the morning bell on Friday and enjoy breakfast in the dining hall before resuming normal day camp activities once the other day campers arrive.
