Course Sessions: Fri May 17 - 5:00-9:30pm Sat May 18 - 10:00-7:00pm Sun May 19 - 10:00-7:00pm Mon May 20 - 10:00-7:00pm Sat May 25 - 10:00-7:00pm Sun May 26 - 10:00-7:00pm The First Aid Instructor course prepares candidates to teach the Lifesaving Society's First Aid and CPR programs. Upon course completion, candidates receive a Standard First Aid & CPR-C/AED Recert (OFA 1 equivalent), a BLS-Responder, and an AMOA certificate. Prerequisites: - 18 years old - OFA Level 1 (WorkSafeBC) - Standard First Aid/CPR-C/AED from a recognized agency (Lifesaving Society, Canadian Red Cross, St. John Ambulance, Canadian Ski Patrol, Heart & Stroke Foundation) - Employed as a first aid provider/attendant for at least one year After successful completion, candidates complete an apprenticeship on a Standard First Aid course and either an SFA Recert or BLS-Responder course. Registration deadline is May 3, 2024.
