Description
Head to western Maryland for four days and three nights of camping and fishing. Fish Deep Creek Lake on fishing piers and by boat (HCRP patrol boat). Spend an afternoon hiking the scenic Swallow Falls State Park. All campers required to attend a mandatory camp orientation on Monday evening, Aug. 5. Orientation covers camp schedule, fishing basics, packing list, meals, and logistics. Bring your rod/reel (no fly fishing rods) and artificial lures. Live bait is provided. Fee includes most meals, transportation, and three nights of tent camping at Deep Creek Lake State Park. You must register for this camp by the close of business Aug. 5. Must have basic swimming skills to participate in water activities. Camp meets Monday 9 am through 5 pm Thursday. We will try to keep groups consistent throughout the week. Bring a lunch, snack, and beverage on Monday (no peanut products). Meals will be provided starting with dinner on Monday. Detailed information and camp participant forms will be emailed to registrants approximately two weeks prior to the start of each camp session. Schedule is subject to change; Prompt drop off and pickup of child(ren) at recreational programs is mandatory. Special accommodations are available but not guaranteed. Requests must be made at least two weeks in advance.
