Summer Art Camp: Maine Nature Theme – Floral and FaunaArtist Jackie WrideGrades 1–3 Young artists will explore Maine’s forests, wildlife, and night skies, plus learn about local painters in this 5-day, hands-on art camp led by artist Jackie Wride. Using professional-grade materials, students will create imaginative, Maine inspired artwork.• Days 1–2: Hand-built stoneware ceramics projects: a forest floor inspired clay plate with separate mushroom sculpture, and a campfire sculpture that can be illuminated with a tea light• Day 3: Glass fusing pendant capturing the colors of the Maine landscape• Day 4: Learn about Maine landscape painters and create a watercolor inspired by their work; if time permits, we will do a pen and ink drawing on white tee shirts • Day 5: Large canvas multimedia collage with a fresh water fish theme
