| There's no shortage of reasons to return to run the Marine Corps Marathon. Honor the military, remember a loved one, support a cause, post a PR, tour DC's landmarks or be treated right by the Marines. Registration for the 37th MCM opens on March 7. Active Duty discounted registration begins on February 23, the anniversary of the 1945 flag raising atop Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II. Runners who deferred from the 2011 MCM to 2012 may re-up from February 23 to March 6. MCM Runners Club will receive extended registration privileges beginning on March 14, after the MCM has closed out. |

| The final piece of the finisher puzzle is now in place. The 2011 Marine Corps Marathon official finisher certificates are now available to be downloaded for printing from the Finisher Webpages. Certificates include individual runner's time, overall place and overall gender place. An appreciation certificate for the MCM's fabulous Volunteers is also available for printing. |

| Celebrating its fifth anniversary on May 20, the Marine Corps Historic Half opens registration on January 25. Run or relay 13.1 in timeless Fredericksburg, perfectly situated between the nation's capital and the capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia. This run's got it all from historic sites to retail districts and Marine support to picturesque scenery. Not up for a whole half? Pairs of runners may register as a relay team with each individual responsible for logging a quarter marathon. Individual runners save almost 10 percent off registration by signing up before March 14. |

| You've participated in the big show—the Marine Corps Marathon. Now run with the Marines again, on their home turf in the MCM Event Series. Four running events will be held throughout 2012 on or near Marine Corps Base Quantico. The Irish Sprint 10K on March 17 offers all finishers guaranteed access to the 2012 MCM, weeks after registration has been closed. Run Amuck on June 16 sends runners hurtling through mud and obstacles on the hills and trails of Quantico. The Gender Defender 5K on August 25 puts pink against blue with two separate finish experiences--the ladies' finisher boutique and the post-race man cave. The holiday season kicks off with Quantico's famed Turkey Trot 10K on November 17. Registration for all these events opens on January 25. |
