Congratulations on your successful participation in "The People's Marathon." Borrowing the words of Pheidippides after his historic run 2,500 years ago in Greece, "Rejoice. You have conquered." The finishers field of 21,856 runners is the largest ever in MCM history. An additional 7,300 completed the MCM10K. The Marines, volunteers, staff and entertainers were honored to support all runners on this amazing MCM Day. Unofficial results are posted online. |

Air Force Second Lt. Jacob Bradosky topped all finishers at the 2010 MCM with the unofficial time of 2:23:30. Ronald Kurui of Kenya was a fast second (2:23:41). The U.S. Marine Corps held its own with 1st Lt. Sean Barrett finishing third (2:24:08) overall. Returning MCM champion Lt. Cmdr. John Mentzer finished fourth (2:24:16).
The women were led by foreign competitors with Kenyan Janet Cherobon finishing first at 2:39:19, while Tezata Desalgn of Turkey finished third in 2:48:35. Navy Lt. Gina Slaby did her sea service proud, finishing second among women in 2:46:58.
Mark Pepple broke the MCM10K finisher ribbon at 33:41. Alemtsehey Misganaw was the top female finisher, setting a new course record with a time of 34:43. |

The 2011 Marine Corps Marathon will be held on October 30. Registration opens on February 23, the anniversary of the flag raising on Iwo Jima. Active duty discount begins in January. MCM Runners Club and 2010 runners who deferred to the 2011 MCM must follow registration instructions that will be emailed in January. |

Any runner who has finished the MCM five or more times is eligible to join the prestigious MCM Runners Club. Membership guarantees a spot in all future MCMs for life, plus special patches for each five-year milestone reached and a reserved spot in the Inspire a Miler during MCM Weekend.
