The top female finisher from 2009 returned to the Marine Corps Historic Half to successfully defend her title and surpass her time by over two minutes. Kristin Herring of Elizabeth City, NC, wearing bib number 1, finished the race in 1:26:26 leading all female participants. Steve Hammel of Arlington, VA was the first runner overall to finish the Marine Corps Historic Half with a time of 1:14:40. A special thank you to the more than 600 civilian and Marine volunteers who supported Historic Half weekend.

The sun was bright, the scenery was memorable, you ran a great half marathon and MarathonFoto captured it all.  Check out the many images taken of you and every other runner along the Historic Half and Semper Fred courses.  Photos are available for purchase as digital files or on commemorative products.

The Semper Fred 5K welcomed a record 662 runners to the finish line.  Omari Daughtridge of Fort Washington, MD finished first with an impressive time of 15:59, establishing a new record for the event.  Fredericksburg’s-own Debra Durocher led all female runners with a finish time of 21:24.

Finisher results and split time information are accessible through the Historic Half website.  A downloadable finisher certificate is available to Historic Half participants for the first time in 2010.
