About this event
Rock Steady Boxing, the first boxing program in the country, was founded in 2006 out of Indianapolis, IN, and provides a community exercise class tailored to individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. A 501(c)(3) organization, Rock Steady Boxing has expanded into a national entity with over 5000 affiliate gyms nationwide. Beginning in June 2023, Wingate University will host weekly Rock Steady classes on campus. Classes will be student-led with the oversight of faculty from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and will focus on strengthening, endurance, balance, and coordination while creating a positive and inclusive environment for its athletes!
