INSTRUCTOR: NICOLE SHARP LOCATION: LS ART ROOM 7 weeks PICK UP IS BEHIND THE LS PLAYGROUND CIRCLE AREA UNDER THE BLUE TARPS CURB In this class we teach the fundamentals in fashion design including the following: Part 1. Fashion Illustration Sketching - students will learn how to draw like fashion illustrators and create their own idea/ mood board portfolio. Part 2. Fabric study - we will explore most materials used in garment making, learn about which materials work best for what clothing pieces and create sewing projects using materials like faux leather, stretch materials and others. We will create bags, pouches and other accessories. Sewing machine lessons included. Part 3. Graphic Art - students will create their own T-shirts using computer images and designs. This is a great class for those interested in Fashion Design. Taught by Nicole Sharp, a German native and Los Angeles based Fashion Designer, whose passion is to introduce students to the world of fashion and teach them everything from sketching to sewing.
