What's Included

Welding - Let the sparks fly in the welding lab as you create stick people, animal figures, name plates, welcome signs, garden art, and more! Automotive - Rev your engines and shift into high gear as you learn about automotive technology. Learn the basics of maintaining an automobile, such as changing the oil, vehicle safety, fixing a flat tire, and more. CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) - Become an official crime scene investigator as you collect evidence, lift finger prints, and investigate a simulated crime scene in Wausaukee. Learn how to interpret evidence and crack the case just like a detective. You might be the next Sherlock Holmes! Our Own Shark Tank: Do you have a great idea on how to make money? Have you ever wanted to start your own business? Learn how! Campers will come up with business ideas, design a company logo and name, tape a commercial, and then pitch their ideas to a panel of experts in the “shark tank.” Awards will be given! Automation/Robotics-Who wouldn’t want to control their very own “claw machine”? Campers will learn how to program a robotic arm (similar to a claw machine) to move in different directions - it can pick up and move candy and other goodies. Campers will also learn how switches and electrical controls are used to manipulate mechanical devices in the automation station. Photography - Go on an outdoor adventure and see nature through the lens of a camera! Take photos of birds, plants and more, and bring your digital photos back to the computer lab to enhance. Campers are welcome to bring their own digital camera if they would like, but one is not required to take the course.
